Ford welcomes Crumlin agreement

Justice Minister David Ford has welcomed the breakthrough reached tonight in advance of tomorrow's Twelfth demonstration in Crumlin.

The Minister has said the agreement between the Orange Order and Crumlin Residents' Association to ensure a positive and peaceful outcome for the Twelfth parade, underlines what can be achieved through dialogue.

David Ford said: "Hopefully this agreement can set the tone for Northern Ireland tomorrow, not just in Crumlin but further afield.

"The agreement reached tonight over the Crumlin parade demonstrates what can be achieved through positive engagemnent.

"I would once again urge those with influence to follow the lead taken tonight and continue to work to reduce tensions where they exist."
